a new design i finished last month– the three-petaled spiderwort.  the unique, triangle-shaped blossoms caught my attention some years ago as they grow in a patch nearby in the neighborhood around this time of the year.  i had long wondered what it was, but it wasn’t until i decided to embroider it this year that i finally looked it up.  i’ve only seen them in violet, so that’s what i chose for the first version, but as i found that they come in red-violet and white also, i’m working on a color variation.

    Is the fabric you are using lined before you embroidered the pieces? You are able to get the fabric so tight on the frame
