Autumn Sakura

cosmosliterally translated, the kanji for cosmos reads ‘autumn sakura,’ as their blooming peak signals the arrival of autumn and their petals resemble that of its namesake flower.  there are brown blooms with a chocolate scent, orange and yellow ones that can be used for natural dyeing and pretty variegated versions too, but these pink and red-violet ones are still my very favorites.
