Peace of Mind

today was the day for warding off bad luck at the local temple.  the yearly event is well-known in the area, drawing a crowd starting at 2am.  their yakuyokedango  (dango to ward off bad luck) is especially popular– by the time i got there in the morning, the original dangos were already sold out.  all that was left were the imitation ones.  but the important part is believing in them, no?

here’s hoping for a good year ahead!
