Taste of Spring

fukinotou asatsuki

fuki shoot (Petasites japonicus).  asatsuki (Allium schoenoprasum var. foliosum).  and though it was consumed before it could be  photographed, nobiru (Allium macrostemon).  all good reasons for carrying a hand shovel when taking a walk in the springtime.  it’s always a thrill to discover these and to be able to take a handful home for the dinner table.
