Colorful

my embroidery floss finally got a real home.

up until now, i had stored my floss in in a flat, plastic case.  while it was compact and portable, all the threads were stacked on top of each other, so it was a bit of a hassle to get to the colors i wanted.  now with these clear drawers, i can easily access the threads and find what i need at a glance.

but i have to admit, i’ve given it more than a glance or two or three since it settled in my workspace.  the colorful collection looks so lovely!  it’s a source of inspiration in itself.

今までファイルケースにまとめて入れておいた刺繍糸を使いやすく整理することに。おしゃれなビンテージ風の木の引き出しが憧れだったのですが、実用性を優先してこれにしました。中が見える方がほしい色が見つけやすいし、表面もつるつるしているので糸が傷む心配もなし。カラフルな糸たちはインテリアのアクセントにもなっています。見てるだけでワクワクしてきて、制作意欲が湧いてきます。
