On Hold

violets in progress

my embroidery projects have been in limbo since my iron broke last week.  suddenly, wrinkles couldn’t be smoothed out of linen, interfacings couldn’t be attached, seams couldn’t be pressed and completed embroideries couldn’t be given a finishing steam.  it really struck me then, how essential my iron is to my work.

a classic case of not appreciating something until it’s gone– and to be reminded of that through something so mundane…!  i’m eagerly waiting for the new one to arrive.
